Vigna Cannucceto sits at 200–350 meters on the lower, more coastal slopes of the Ampeleia estate, clay and marine fossil soils that grow Mediterranean varieties almost forgotten elsewhere in Tuscany. The 2024 is 55% Alicante Nero with Sangiovese, Mourvèdre and Alicante Bouschet, each picked and vinified separately, then aged six months in concrete.
Ampeleia has farmed biodynamically since 2013 and uses no additives, no fining, no filtering. No oak at any stage, 12% ABV, and a light-footed structure that drinks best at a slight chill. The 1-liter bottle is not incidental, it is the point: open it with people, finish it, do not save it for later.
