Ancient Age is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort — the same operation that produces Blanton's, Eagle Rare, and Buffalo Trace itself, running on Mash Bill #2 and aged a minimum of 36 months in new charred American oak. Introduced in 1946, it draws from younger barrel selection at the entry tier: grain-forward and honest, nothing forced.

The 1L format makes practical sense for cocktails or for buyers who go through bourbon at any real pace. Buffalo Trace has been distilling on this site since 1787; Ancient Age has carried the name since 1946.
