Bacchus Cellars Ginger's Cuvee Pinot Noir 2020 750mL
USA : CALIFORNIA : Monterey
SUSTAINABLE : Pinot Noir
LIGHT-BODIED, RASPBERRY, TART CHERRY, BAKING SPICE, NEUTRAL OAK
Ginger's Cuvée is David Gordon's label — and David Gordon spent decades curating one of New York's most celebrated wine lists at Tribeca Grill, back when the restaurant was a Robert DeNiro and Drew Nieporent institution in lower Manhattan. He built Bacchus to do for the everyday drinker what he was doing inside the restaurant: find genuinely good wine at a real price.
The fruit here comes from the Monterey coast, where cold Pacific air and marine fog keep the growing season long enough to develop Pinot character without overcooking the delicate variety. Fermented half in tank and half in neutral oak, then eight months in large neutral barrels — enough to soften the edges without adding wood flavor.
PAIRINGS :
| Roasted chicken | the classic Pinot pairing — delicate fruit meets delicate bird |
| Pork tenderloin | cherry and baking spice echo the sweetness of the meat |
| Grilled salmon | light structure and red fruit hold up without overpowering |
