Blend of four Kentucky bourbons: 14, 10, 10 and 6 years

FULL-BODIED, BAKED CHERRY, VANILLA CREAM, HAZELNUT, COCONUT, SWEET OAK

Nearly half of this bottle is a single 14-year Kentucky bourbon, and that component does most of the talking. Two 10-year Kentucky bourbons fill in the middle, and the last 8% is a six-year four-grain recipe distilled by Bardstown themselves, the first meaningful appearance of house whiskey in the Discovery line.

The oak here reads sweet rather than dry, which is what separates it from most high-proof bourbon of this age. Baked cherry runs from the nose through to the finish, with brown sugar, toasted hazelnut and a coconut note closing things out.

Released for Bourbon Heritage Month in September 2024 and largely gone from shelves since. Breaking Bourbon 3.5/5; Mostly Bourbon 9.3/10.
