The 2025 is all Sauvignon Blanc and built for freshness — peach, passionfruit, pear and litchi on the nose, melon and gooseberry on a lively, concentrated palate. Extended lees contact supplies the creamy middle without any oak, and the finish stays bright, with acidity and a mineral edge.
Behind the whimsical name is a founding story worth knowing: Kevin Swart and Raymond Ndlovu sold their stockbroking business and moved their families to Franschhoek. The name spells out the partnership — Ndlovu means "elephant" in Zulu, Swart means "black" in Afrikaans, and the "Vintners" is winemaker Jacques Wentzel.
