Gold Edition was the second Blanton's ever created — the same recipe as the Original, bottled at 103 proof. It was made for international markets and sold only abroad for decades, until Buffalo Trace began releasing it in the US in 2020 as a once-a-year limited bottling.

Each bottle comes from a single barrel, with the dump date on the label and a gold horse-and-jockey stopper, one of eight that spell out the Blanton's name. Spicy rye and tobacco lead the nose, honey and caramel follow with dark fruit and citrus, and charred oak and vanilla carry a long finish. San Francisco World Spirits Competition Gold, 2025.
