Batch 2022-04 closed out Booker's 2022 run, named for Booker Noe's father, the original Frederick Booker Noe — "Pinkie" to family and friends. He wasn't in the bourbon business at all: he was vice president of the local bank, a golfer and a quail hunter who bonded with Booker over football, which is why there's a helmet on the label.

Four production dates, four 7-story warehouses: 47% from the third floor of warehouse Z, 36% from the fourth floor of warehouse 1, 11% from the fourth floor of X, 6% from the fifth floor of Q. Aged 6 years, 10 months and 10 days and bottled uncut and unfiltered at 122.4 proof — the youngest and lowest-proof Booker's of 2022.

Vanilla and caramel up front with a wisp of smoke, then toasted nuts, oak and a streak of mint on the finish. Less oak-driven than the other 2022 batches, and sweeter for it. Give it a few minutes in the glass; the nose keeps opening.
