The .3 is the Islay Barley bottling of every Octomore edition, and 13.3 is single estate and single vintage — Concerto barley grown by James Brown on Octomore Farm, two miles south of the distillery, harvested in 2015, distilled in 2016 and peated to 129.3 PPM.

Five years in a foundational parcel of first-fill ex-American whiskey barrels plus second-fill European oak from Rivesaltes in France and Ribera del Duero in Spain, matured entirely on Islay, non-chill filtered, no added colour.

Less bonfire than the number suggests. Drinkhacker found less overt smoke and ash than 13.1, with lemon and orange peel on the nose and nutty nougat on the palate, and called it "a classic representation of Islay turned up to 11." Drinkhacker A-.
