Bushmills has distilled on the same County Antrim site since a licence to distil in the area was granted in 1608, and the 10 Year is the entry point to its single malt range — triple distilled from unpeated malted barley, then at least a decade split between ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, bourbon taking the larger share.

That split is why this leans orchard fruit rather than dried fig. More honey and apricot than treacle and raisin. At 80 proof it pours soft, and the nose does more of the work than the palate — the honest trade at this price, and the reason the 12 Year exists. Gold, International Spirits Challenge 2024.
