Cakebread has farmed sustainably in Rutherford since Jack planted the estate in 1973. The 2022 draws from estate ranches across the North Coast — Carneros, Suscol Springs, Rutherford, and Calistoga — harvested entirely at night between August 9 and September 15 to preserve freshness.

Fermented 97% in stainless steel and aged five months in neutral French oak, this is a clean, food-first white built around citrus acidity rather than oak presence. At 13.9%, it sits in a register that complements rather than dominates the table.
