Cantina di Lana is a two-hundred-year-old Veneto estate that made its name in wool, not wine, and began growing grapes in the mid-19th century. The importer's pitch is dependability rather than terroir, which is an unusually honest thing to say about a ten-dollar bottle.

This is 100% Pinot Grigio from the delle Venezie DOC, fermented in stainless steel. Massanois describes it as mineral-driven and stony, with white stone fruits, slate, crushed rocks and flowers meeting a fresh finish.

2025 was a good year to be a Veneto white. Gambero Rosso reported grapes in excellent condition and a harvest looking set to be among the best of recent years, with roughly 100,000 tonnes more fruit than 2024.
