Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset founded the house in 1951 and belonged to the Club Trésors de Champagne in their day. Their granddaughter Cécile and her husband Vincent brought the family back into the Club in 2015 — and the Special Club is what membership earns: a blend of the house's best Grand Cru lieux-dits in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and each vintage has to clear two blind tastings before it can carry the name.
The 2016 is all Chardonnay, vinified in stainless steel with malolactic blocked and finished Extra Brut at 2 g/L. White flowers and white fruit up front, brioche and lees behind. Mesnil acidity, left intact.
