Champagne Thiénot Brut NV 750ml
Champagne Thiénot Brut NV 750ml
FRANCE : CHAMPAGNE : MONTAGNE DE REIMS
CONVENTIONAL : Chardonnay (45%), Pinot Noir (35%), Pinot Meunier (20%)
MED-BODIED, LEMON ZEST, GREEN APPLE, ALMOND, NO OAK
Alain Thiénot spent twenty years as one of Champagne's most respected négociants before founding his own maison in Reims in 1985 — with relationships across Grand and Premier Cru vineyards that most houses spend decades trying to build. Today the house is run by his daughter Garance and son Stanislas, who have preserved the founding principles: Chardonnay-dominant blending, minimum four years on lees, and all-stainless fermentation to keep the focus on fruit and bead.
The Brut NV sits at the dry end of the Brut category — low dosage, precise acidity, and a persistent mousse that carries the citrus and almond character through a long finish. Jeb Dunnuck called it "a baby Krug" — 92 points.
PAIRINGS :
| Oysters on the half shell | Acidity and fine mousse cut the brine; Champagne's most natural pairing |
| Fish tartare | Lemon zest and clean palate complement raw seafood preparations |
| Gruyère gougères | Savory, nutty cheese mirrors the almond and brioche notes mid-palate |
