Cognac Frapin 1270 Grande Champagne 1er Cru Cognac 750ml
Cognac Frapin 1270 Grande Champagne 1er Cru Cognac 750ml
FRANCE : GRANDE CHAMPAGNE
Single estate, Château Fontpinot : 100% Ugni Blanc, distilled sur lies, aged in new Limousin oak
FRESH CITRUS, DRIED APRICOT, LIGHT FLORAL, VANILLA, WARM OAK
The 1270 is named for the year the Frapin family began cultivating vines in Grande Champagne — the highest-classified terroir in the Cognac appellation, valued for the chalky limestone soils that produce eaux-de-vie of exceptional finesse. Made entirely from Ugni Blanc grapes and aged an average of four years, it is lighter and more citrus-forward than older expressions, suited to mixing as well as neat pours.
SUGGESTED SERVES :
| Neat | shows the limestone-driven freshness and estate character; the extra aging time beyond VS minimum pays off here |
| Single large rock | softens the new Limousin oak and draws out dried apricot and vanilla |
| Splash of water | unlocks the lighter florals — vine flowers and linden — and the grape character the lees distillation preserves |
