Red C is Covenant's second label — built from press wine off the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and sourced primarily from Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley and Sonoma Mountain. Fermented with native yeast and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it drinks with more grip and texture than its second-label positioning would suggest.
The 2020 shows dusty black cherry and dried cranberry on the nose, with black tea, plum, coffee, and cedar on the palate in a framework that's firm but not austere. Wine Enthusiast 90 pts.
