Darioush draws from two estate sites: Sage Vineyard on the eastern face of Mt. Veeder, farmed across 30 distinct blocks at 1,800–2,200 feet, and Ashley Vineyard in the cooler Oak Knoll District. The elevation delivers natural concentration and floral lift; Oak Knoll adds brightness and mid-palate texture to the blend.
The 2021 vintage was the redemption Napa needed after 2020's smoke-taint problems — drought-reduced yields, long hang time, and no significant heat events through harvest. Jeb Dunnuck scored it 92 points. The wine is built for the medium term but approachable now.
