Domaine des Ouled Thaleb has been farming the Zenata coastal appellation since 1923 — the same year they planted their vineyards on Morocco's Atlantic coast, between Casablanca and Rabat. The soils here are dark clay-marl called tirs, and winemaker Stephane Marriot oversees a blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 30% Syrah, and 30% Arinarnoa — a rare Bordeaux-bred hybrid of Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon that brings deep color and firm structure. Three months in French oak adds texture without burying the fruit.
