François Mikulski farms 1.5 hectares on the lower slopes bordering Meursault, from parcels planted in 1986 and 2005. The Bourgogne Côte d'Or is the entry point to a domaine best known for its premier cru Meursaults — and importer Skurnik makes the comparison bluntly: the style is most often compared to Roulot, perhaps the most revered producer in Meursault, whose wines sell for three times the price.
The 2022 vintage is one of the finest modern Burgundy years on record. Vinification is native yeasts, 10 months in oak barrel with only 20% new wood, then two months in stainless before bottling. The result is pear and apple over a core of lemon zest and white pepper spice, with a silky body that finishes long and mineral.
