Enderle & Moll 'Muller' Muller-Thurgau 2023 750ml
GERMANY : BADEN
BIODYNAMIC : Müller-Thurgau
LIGHT-BODIED, YELLOW FLORAL, STONE FRUIT, HONEYED SKIN TEXTURE, NO OAK
Enderle & Moll's 'Müller' blends 45-year-old estate Müller-Thurgau from limestone soils on the western fringe of Baden's Black Forest with organic-farmed Mosel fruit grown on schist — a cross-regional cuvée that stretches the grape's range from floral delicacy to mineral precision. Five days of skin contact before a soft press, then 8–9 months on the lees in stainless steel. Lightly filtered, a whisper of sulfur at bottling.
The 2023 is the final vintage from this estate. Sven Enderle and Florian Moll started in 2007 with three barrels in a garage; by the time it ended, they had quietly helped reshape the conversation around what German wine could be. This bottle is the last chapter.
PAIRINGS :
| Smoked salmon with crème fraîche | floral aromatics and skin texture cut through the fat and complement the smoke |
| Soft-ripened cheese (Brie, Camembert) | gentle tannin and bright acidity cut through cream; florals echo the rind |
| Grilled whole fish with herbs | the textured acidity and stone fruit match the char and delicacy of grilled fish |
