Estate vineyards near Villafranca del Duero, set on gentle hillsides that trace the Duero River's left bank, supply all the fruit for Celeste Verdejo. The soils — riverbed gravel, stone, and sand — drain freely and stress the vine just enough to drive intensity, while the plateau's altitude pulls nights cool enough to lock in acidity and aromatics through the long growing season.
After harvest, the juice rests on its lees for a minimum of two months — long enough to add a silky mid-palate texture without weighing the wine down. A small portion of Sauvignon Blanc adds lift and green aromatic depth to Verdejo's characteristic fennel and almond notes. 90 pts James Suckling.
