Fort Hamilton Copper Pot Still Non Chill Filtered New World Dry Gin 375ml
USA : Brooklyn, NY
New York Corn Neutral Spirit : Juniper, Watermelon, Cucumber, Coriander, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Angelica Root, Florentine Iris, Citrus Zests
LIGHT-BODIED, CUCUMBER, WATERMELON RIND, SPICY JUNIPER, MANDARIN ORANGE, WHITE PEPPER
Fort Hamilton distills out of Industry City in Brooklyn, running a Vendome hybrid copper pot still through three discrete passes — juniper and woody botanicals pot-distilled in the first run, citrus zests vapor-distilled through a gin basket in the second, watermelon and cucumber in the third — then blending the three distillates and resting the batch two weeks before bottling.
The result is a New World gin in the truest sense: juniper is present but not dominant, subordinated to fresh summer botanicals, a corn base that stays clean and neutral, and the kind of textural precision that comes from non-chill filtration. Wine Enthusiast put 92 points on it.
The distillery sits one block from where the Battle of Brooklyn broke out in a watermelon patch in August 1776. Watermelon's in the gin. It earns the reference.
