Foucher-Lebrun Sauvignon Petit Le Mont 2024 750mL
Foucher-Lebrun Sauvignon Petit Le Mont 2024 750mL
FRANCE : LOIRE VALLEY
ORGANIC : Sauvignon Blanc
LIGHT-BODIED, CITRUS, GREEN APPLE, FLINT, MINERAL, NO OAK
Maison Foucher-Lebrun is a petit négociant based 30 kilometers northeast of Sancerre — curators of value-priced Loire expressions since 1921. This Petit Le Mont is the baby sister to their Sancerre Blanc "Le Mont," made from organically farmed vineyards where Touraine meets Haut Poitou and labeled Vin de France so the price stays honest.
Fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly on the lees before a spring bottling, the wine is unambiguously varietal — vivid citrus, green apple, and a pleasing flint-and-herb streak that makes it drink closer to its Sancerre sibling than its price tag suggests.
PAIRINGS :
| Fresh chèvre and honeycomb | the Loire classic; minerality cuts through the cream |
| Oysters on the half shell | salinity and citrus align naturally |
| Grilled branzino with capers | clean protein, citrus-mineral resonance |
