Fox Run has grown Lemberger on Seneca Lake since the early days of the modern Finger Lakes — one of the longest-running examples of the variety in New York. The un-oaked designation is the key production choice: stainless steel from fermentation through bottling, no wood contact, which puts the grape's natural brightness and peppery character front and center rather than softening it into something more polished.

The 2024 Finger Lakes vintage delivered growing degree days four weeks ahead of the 50-year average, with minimal October rainfall and extended hang time — conditions co-owner Scott Osborn called the best harvest in recent memory. That fruit development carries into the glass: more richness than the variety typically shows, but the acidity stays intact.
