Santa Barbara County is the one stretch of the California coast where the mountains run east-west instead of north-south, funneling Pacific fog straight inland and keeping this Pinot's acidity intact through a long, cool 2023 growing season that ran into one of the latest harvests on record. A small addition of Syrah (5.7%) fills out the mid-palate, and French and American oak lay in the vanilla and spice underneath the dense strawberry and raspberry-jam fruit.
