From Mount Richmond Estate — a family-owned, 100-acre block in Marlborough’s Upper Wairau Valley, dedicated entirely to Sauvignon Blanc — this is the single-estate version of the style that made New Zealand famous. Winemaker Bec Wiffen harvests by block, ferments in small batches in stainless steel, and keeps hands off from there: no oak, no blending across regions, no interference with what the Upper Wairau does on its own.
