Glenfiddich's Grand Series positions the 26-year Grande Couronne at the top of the core range. The name is French for "great crown," and the finishing barrel is the signature: nearly two years in rare Cognac casks after a full 26-year maturation in American and European oak.

The Cognac finish layers in Tarte Tatin, buttery pastry, and orange blossom where you'd expect dried fruit and Christmas spice. William Grant & Sons has been family-owned since 1887, and Glenfiddich is the world's best-selling single malt, but the Grande Couronne operates at a different register.
