Destilería Santa Lucía has been making tequila in the highlands of Jalisco since the 1940s — hand-harvesting blue Weber agave, slow-roasting in brick ovens, fermenting with wild yeast, and distilling in copper pot stills. Gran Agave is the house's export expression, brought to the US by PM Spirits. Six months in American oak adds vanilla and caramel without covering the agave. At a liter for $34, it earned a spot in PUNCH magazine's curated list of the best affordable additive-free tequilas on the market.
