Golan Heights Winery was founded in 1983 by eight kibbutzim and moshavim on the Golan Heights, and those communities still own it. Its vineyards carry LODI RULES sustainable winegrowing certification.
The 2025 Mount Hermon Red blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot from several Golan Heights vineyards and one Upper Galilee site, fermented in stainless steel. Picking started early, on July 27, after a winter with about 40% of normal rain, so yields ran about 25% below average. 14% alcohol, kosher certified and Kosher for Passover.
