Muscat Canelli
LIGHT-BODIED, PEACH, LEMON, TROPICAL FRUIT, HONEYSUCKLE, NO OAK
Golan Heights Winery sits on volcanic basalt soils 400 to 1,200 meters above sea level — altitude that holds heat at bay and lets Muscat Canelli develop its full aromatic spectrum without losing the acidity that makes the style work. This is the entry tier in a winery that has been building the Golan Heights as a serious region since 1983, under the same winemaker, Victor Schoenfeld, for over thirty years.
The wine is made the way Moscato d'Asti is: fermentation arrested early in cold stainless steel, natural sugar and CO2 preserved, bottled at 6% ABV with a light mousse. Off-dry, lightly sparkling, aromatic — peach and lemon up front, lemongrass and honeysuckle underneath, tropical fruit in the back. Certified Kosher for Passover.
PAIRINGS :
| Spicy Thai curry | effervescence and low alcohol cut through chili heat; off-dry sweetness calms the spice |
| Peach or apricot fruit tart | stone fruit echoes the dessert; acidity keeps it from reading sweet-on-sweet |
| Brie or camembert | bubbles and acidity balance the richness of soft rind cheese |
