One cask, one bottling. Hofgut Falkenstein bottles its wines cask by cask, so the AP number on the label points to a single Fuder — AP 11 is Fuder Meyer Nepal, the 2025 feinherb Spätlese from Niedermenniger Herrenberg, a south-facing slope of iron-rich gray slate in the Saar's Konz Valley.

Erich Weber and his son Johannes hand-harvest, press whole bunches and ferment with ambient yeasts in old 1,000-liter Fuder, with no chaptalization, no deacidification and no fining agents. They never inject carbon dioxide at bottling, so the spritz in the glass is the wine's own. Lars Carlberg's note on this cask: raspberry, spicy, icy and spritzy.
