FRANCE : LOIRE VALLEY : TOURAINE

Sauvignon Blanc

LIGHT-BODIED, LIME, EXOTIC FRUIT, BRISK ACIDITY, NO OAK

Seigy sits on the south bank of the Cher, where Jean-Marc Biet and his daughter Julie work vines on the limestone bedrock of the Paris Basin. No famous appellation covers these slopes, so the wines go out as plain Touraine.

The Sauvignon is raised in tank, about 10,000 bottles of it, from a 2025 Loire harvest that came in early. What you're buying is clean, lime-driven Sauvignon with no oak in the way. Guide Hachette des Vins 2027: one star.

PAIRINGS :

Moules marinière acidity cuts the butter and shallot broth
Sole bonne-femme lime lift against a creamy mushroom sauce
