Green Label is Johnnie Walker's only all-malt expression — 15-year-old single malts from four distilleries, no grain whisky anywhere in the blend. Talisker brings maritime brine and a thread of smoke from the Isle of Skye; Caol Ila layers in Islay peat, kept gentle at this age; Cragganmore and Linkwood anchor the Speyside core with honeyed orchard fruit, malt, and wood spice. The result is a blended malt that drinks with the complexity of a single malt but with breadth no single distillery could produce on its own.

Diageo launched Green Label in 1997 as "Pure Malt" — a term the Scotch Whisky Association later retired in favor of "blended malt" — then relaunched under the Green Label name in 2004. A global discontinuation was announced in 2012, but the expression remained in production for Taiwan, where it had become a restaurant standard. That sustained demand made the case for a worldwide return in 2016. Whisky Advocate scored it 89 points and called it "one of the finer vatted malts on the market."
