Marianne Eaves, the former Brown-Forman master taster who became Kentucky's first female master distiller at Castle & Key, built her Eaves Blind subscription around one provocation: taste bourbon without knowing who made it. None of the blends she curated came from Kentucky. This is the Brooklyn entry, guest-blended by Eaves from barrels she picked herself.

The whiskey underneath is entirely Kings County's. They mash 80% organic New York corn from Lakeview Organic in the Finger Lakes with 20% English Golden Promise malted barley, a Scotch-leaning recipe that skips the rye or wheat most Kentucky bourbons use, then double pot distill it at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Four years in new charred oak, bottled at barrel strength with no water added.
