Brooklyn's Kings County Distillery has been operating out of the Navy Yard since 2010—NYC's first distillery since Prohibition, founded by Colin Spoelman and David Haskell. The Spiced Whiskey is their seasonal holiday release, built on a corn whiskey base distilled in pot stills from locally sourced New York grain.

The infusion runs seven spices over one to two months: cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla bean, allspice, black peppercorns, clove, and star anise. At 80 proof, it's a natural in a hot toddy or warm spiked cider—works on the rocks with orange peel as well.
