Quinta da Calçada has been making Vinho Verde from the Amarante sub-region since 1917 — a third-generation family estate at higher elevation than the coastal DOC zones where most commercial Vinho Verde originates. The Lago range is their core approachable label, named for the estate's founder.

Vinhão is one of the region's most intensely pigmented native grapes — its juice runs deep red even before extended skin contact, which accounts for this rosé's deeper pink color. At the elevations and in the granite soils of Amarante, it builds bright red-fruit character and an acidity that holds up to an off-dry finishing style without going flat.

The slight petillance is traditional Vinho Verde — it fades quickly once open. Serve cold and drink fresh.
