Fermented and raised entirely in stainless steel, start to finish, which is unusual for red Bordeaux at any price. No barrel means no vanilla gloss and no borrowed structure, so what you get is the fruit and the tannin, unedited.

Sixty percent Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc filling out the frame, sourced from small growers across the appellation rather than a co-op. The blend moves vintage to vintage; the style doesn't.

2023 was the year Bordeaux finally got quality and volume in the same harvest, after a tropical June left mildew across most of the region and rewarded whoever sorted hardest. The wines came in fresher and lower in alcohol than the baked 2022s. Drink this one now, cellar-cool.
