The Marenco family has farmed Strevi — one of the premier crus of the Moscato d'Asti zone — since 1925. "Strev" is that place compressed into a name. One hundred percent Moscato Bianco, hand-harvested in late August, fermented in a pressurized vat until fermentation is cut at 5% alcohol. No sugar added; the sweetness is entirely from the grape. The result is low-alcohol, gently sparkling, and intensely aromatic — exactly what good Moscato d'Asti has always been.
Wine Enthusiast called the 2022 vintage 92 points and a Best Buy: "apricot, green apple and melon aromas... fresh white peach and candied lemon zest balanced by bright acidity, finishing with soft and gentle bubbles."
