Tom Meadowcroft started his winemaking education working harvest in Bordeaux in 1979 — which explains the European-leaning sensibility he brings to a California Pinot Noir. The Sonoma Coast AVA is a big appellation, but its defining feature is consistent: Pacific fog rolls in each afternoon, suppressing daytime heat and extending the growing season well into fall. The 2023 growing season ran two to four weeks behind schedule after a cool, wet winter, with some producers harvesting as late as November — more hang time, more freshness, better balance than 2022.

Executive winemaker Petar Kirilov brings thirteen vintages of Napa and Sonoma experience to a small-production release: 145 cases total. This is a 375ml half-bottle — a useful format for a by-the-glass pairing or a single-glass pour alongside a cheese course. Gold Medal, Critics Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
