Palacio de Canedo has farmed organically on 30 hectares of 60–70-year-old vines in Bierzo since the 1987 revival of an estate dating to 1730. "Limonada" — the name locals give this Mencía-based sangria — is a traditional Easter drink in the region, made by macerating the red wine with lemon peel, cinnamon, and natural beet sugar.
