A 60/40 blend of Fernão Pires and Arinto, sourced entirely from Vinha da Gafa — a single estate plot in Óbidos with southeastern exposure and clay-limestone soils. Fermented variety by variety with native yeasts, free-run juice only, then aged twelve months on lees in stainless steel. No oak, low sulfur, no additions.

Brothers Tomás and Alberto Emídio took control of this 15-hectare fourth-generation estate in 2015 and shifted it toward low-intervention work. The 2021 vintage — cooler and later than 2020, with slower ripening across the Lisboa coast — is among the best recent years for Atlantic Portuguese whites: higher natural acidity, more tension, citrus and stone fruit in focus.
