Voor-Paardeberg is a granite-soiled mountain zone an hour north of Cape Town, increasingly recognized for Cabernet with real concentration and structure. Winemaker Thinus Kruger sources the Flyin' French here, with a smaller Stellenbosch component adding cool-climate precision and freshness.
The name is a nod to Cabernet Sauvignon's French origins, transplanted to the Cape and translated into a more direct, fruit-driven expression. Accessible tannins and dark fruit make it an easy, reliable entry into South African Cab.
