Two Carter-Head stills — rare copper pot stills that achieve in one pass what most vodkas require three distillations to reach — and a final filter of Icelandic lava rock. The spirit is then blended with spring water from the Grábrók lava field: low enough in minerals that it needs no treatment before bottling.

Each batch is 330 cases. The distillery runs on geothermal energy. The master distiller is also Borgarnes's fireman.
