Silver Thread’s Dry Riesling is the benchmark for what Seneca Lake does best — low-ABV, high-acid, food-first white wine with a distinctive chalky finish. Paul and Shannon Brock run their 100% solar-powered estate on the eastern shore, farming with biointensive and regenerative practices and keeping annual production under 3,000 cases total.
The 2023 was a challenging vintage — an early May frost cut yields across the region — but the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance called the Rieslings “crystalline and food-centric” nonetheless. Wine Enthusiast agreed: 90 points for the 2023 Dry.
