SirDavis is named for Davis Hogue — Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's paternal great-grandfather, a Prohibition-era moonshiner in Alabama who stashed whiskey in the hollow knots of cedar trees. The brand is a joint venture with Moët Hennessy, and the first spirit the company has developed internally in the United States.

The liquid is Indiana-distilled straight rye (51% rye, 49% malted barley) aged in American oak, then finished six to nine months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks in Houston, Texas. Dr. Bill Lumsden of Glenmorangie and Ardbeg led development. Non-chill filtered, no additives, 88 proof. Winner of 93 points at the 2023 Ultimate Spirits Challenge — entered anonymously as "Davis Hogue Distilling Co." before the brand was announced.
