Michigan Balaton sour cherries macerated for 12 weeks in St. Agrestis Amaro — bittersweet, herbal, and not-too-sweet. The traditional approach: actual maceration in spirit, not the sugar impregnation that’s been the commercial shortcut since Prohibition. Bon Appétit called it directly: “If the thought of sweet cherries makes your teeth hurt, grab a jar of these booze-soaked fruits.”

The right cherry for a Manhattan, a Whiskey Sour, a Negroni, or anything that deserves better than a jar from the grocery store. About 100 cherries per jar.
