Germán González built this as a private reserve for family and friends, then brought in master distiller Enrique Fonseca to shape it at La Tequileña (NOM 1146). Five years in wood, two past the extra añejo minimum, released in batches of about 9,000 bottles — each marked with its own strip-stamp icon, and no two blended quite alike.

Double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in a combination of Scotch, sherry, and brandy barrels — the extra añejo character comes through as rich dried fruit and deep oak, with the agave still present underneath. One of the more whiskey-adjacent tequilas on the shelf.
