The Judean Hills rise sharply from Israel's coastal plain, their limestone terraces holding heat through Mediterranean days and releasing it through cool mountain nights. Tzora Vineyards — founded in 1993 at Kibbutz Tzora — farms these slopes entirely on estate fruit. Winemaker Eran Pick, the first Israeli to hold the Master of Wine designation, makes wine with consulting input from Jean-Claude Berrouet of Château Pétrus, who has said the aim is "a wine that tells a sincere, authentic story of the local soil and climate."

The 2024 Judean Hills is 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 20% Petit Verdot and 10% Merlot, hand harvested from selected estate plots on old limestone terraces and aged 12 months in French oak. The winery calls it ready to drink now, with five more years of improvement ahead in bottle. Kosher for Passover, non-mevushal.
