The Manhattan from Via Carota, the West Village trattoria run by chefs Rita Sodi and Jody Williams, bottled as a single serve. The base is a four-year rye whiskey aged in charred oak, built with sweet vermouth and a blend of bitters — rye rather than bourbon, so the spice holds its own against the vermouth instead of sliding into syrup.

One 100ml bottle, one drink. Chill it hard and pour it straight up into a cold coupe, or over a single large rock with a Maraschino cherry. No shaker, no measuring.
