Weller Special Reserve is the entry point to the Weller lineup from Buffalo Trace — a wheated bourbon that substitutes wheat for the rye in a standard mashbill, producing a softer, less spicy character. The wheat brings honey and caramel without the pepper bite of a rye-forward bourbon. One of the better values in wheated bourbon when available, and the gateway to a lineup with considerably more scarcity above it.
