WhistlePig's first single malt was distilled at Glenora on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, North America's first single malt distillery, and bottled at WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, Vermont. It spent 21 years in ex-bourbon American oak before a four-week finish in WhistlePig rye barrels.

That short rye finish does the talking. Maple, caramel and black cherry sit on a sweet malt core, with rye spice and fresh-cut oak on the edges, and a few drops of water bring out more maple and candied walnut. Just 18 barrels made up the release, each bottled as a single barrel and numbered in a wooden box. Whisky Advocate 90 pts.
